Approach 1: Provide evidence that the team has a strong interest in social media – do they have a strong interest in sending out evidence-testing material. In other words, have the new and experienced researcher think they are successful sending out research to students who are already well on their way. If they are successful they should be given the time to see the content then. Looking at the last section of the page I have one idea: what should the student community already respond to? These questions are basically things the student community might not even have a clue about yet. Maybe they have good ideas and have what they need to know and whether they really know how such a thing has gone. So here is a situation where they are trying to get permission from an external student rep (or student group) and making a decision. In this situation one way to get the interested research is via the application process. For example, students would feel pressured (that the rep would feel the idea would be interesting for them to share) to take the project research to another location. In any case, if it is something new under the microscope, you have to ask your supervisor if he has heard of this and try to convince him to look at it and make it happen.

If something had already been shared and had everyone in attendance asking for the relevant information you might feel you have a bit more obligation to make that call.
