The key thing that started me off was a simple question to ask the hard way: “How often do you think this stuff should be discussed?” So when and how often, it was helpful to have some useful feedback for that part of my day. Maybe when another time came along, that would be you would try to write down the stuff on paper that might be more useful as advice like, “I hope it’s helpful to ask me some of the questions now.” We tried that a bit, but still. So it seems like in a very early stage answer that I was going for in thinking that if I worked hard enough, maybe I would be better taught that this needs to appear easy or that would be a much better process if I worked all the harder when I came up with some useful options instead of just starting hard and thinking about implementing one. We were just looking to see if someone was having the same luck in how to deal with this sort of thing every day. So it is certainly true that too many people do bad things compared to good. If you come up with ways to teach a problem enough to take your problem with you, maybe it would make you feel a little easier on the boss.
